The ISAPP research program is one of the world's unique research programs on smart wells and smart fields to develop methods to optimize hydrocarbon production. The 1st ISAPP program started in 2005 whereas the 2nd program (ISAPP-2) is running since 2011.

Parties involved

The ISAPP-2 program is a joint effort of research organizations TNO and Delft University of Technology with industrial partners ENI, Statoil and Petrobras in the following way: Pre-competitive research is being performed, mainly via PhD projects, at the TU Delft whereas tool development and application of methods and software to real field cases is being performed by TNO in close collaboration with the industrial partners.
